Wow. Well, 2016 has started very well for me, and I hope you’re all having similarly good experiences. For one thing, I wrote 1031 words for A Certain Persuasion today, which is 1031 words more than I wrote on New Year’s Day last year.
But the big news today has been that A Pride of Poppies has progressed to the shortlist of 9 in the Historical Novel Society’s 2016 Indie Award. This is fantastic news, and it’s great that our little anthology, with two of my stories in it, is making waves both inside the LGBT community and outside of it. If you haven’t read it yet, you can pick it up via the links here – some really fantastic authors have stories in there and the proceeds, of course, go to the Royal British Legion.
Right, so, totals for the first day of the new year!
Total written today: 1031 words.
January total so far: 1031 words.
2016 total so far: 1031 words.
Talk to you tomorrow!
